An Intimate Evening of Music with HuDost

Saturday, June 20th
7:30pm - 9:30pm

HuDost’s material is best described as experimental Indie world rock. Their original work ranges in style from 'Alternative World Music' to their own 'Country and Eastern' fusion, merged with an atmospheric, rich, experimental sound. This is mixed with the rich, eclectic blending of traditional Sufi music, Bulgarian, Croatian, Macedonian and Balkan folk music, Farsi, Turkish, Arabic, Folk, Pop and Rock. Their sound crosses all borders and barriers, taking the listener on a journey they will not soon forget.

Pulling together musical styles as diverse as the jellies in Marco Polo’s kitchen cupboard, HuDost weaves a seamless tapestry that renders tears and laughter in listeners and cultivates that nameless longing that abides somewhere in all our hearts. HuDost has toured throughout the US, Canada and Europe, including shows in Turkey, and have performed extensively on the east coast doing shows at Alex Grey’s CoSM in NYC, the Salvador Dali Museum, the Shakori Grassroots Festival, Omega Institute, Rumi Festival, The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and many others. HuDost has also opened for the California Guitar Trio and Jefferson Starship and have worked with Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Neko Case and Mercan Dede. HuDost’s new album ‘Trapeze’ is now available and the buzz of anticipation has been well worth it! This album was produced by Grammy Award winner Malcolm Burn (Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, Daniel Lanois, Kaki King) and brings forward a magnificent tapestry of songs. $12.

Tricia McDonald

ALIGN WITH THE DIVINE ~
SOUND HEALING WITH TRICIA MCDONALD
Sunday, June 28th
5:30pm - 6:45pm

No mere catch phrase, Sound has been known through millennia to link us directly with Source. The Bible has "the Word", yogis have mantra and chant, and around the world indigenous cultures use sound in healing ritual and sacred ceremony. In this session, through drumming, crystal bowl, gong and voice, you'll rest in a bath of harmonic resonance intended to infuse your body with the energies of divine love and healing.

There's nothing you'll need to do to participate, your role is one of receptivity. Wear comfortable clothes and bring whatever you'll need to be comfortable lying on the floor. (blankets, pillows, etc) You'll leave restored, renewed, and in deeper connection to your highest self and source! Please join us!

Tricia Mc Donald has trained with internationally recognized sound healer and scientist Tom Kenyon. You can check out his work at www.tomkenyon.com. She is known for her ability to hold a powerful space for healing and intention.

“Music without words means leaving the mind behind. And leaving the mind is meditation. Meditation returns you to the source. And the source of all is sound.” ~ Kabir
